BC Card has successfully introduced its business model to the Indonesian payment market. BC Card said on March 3 it has signed a partnership agreement with PT. Artajasa to develop a card processing business in Indonesia. The signing ceremony was attended by the heads of BC Card and PT. Artajasa.
PT. Artajasa is the largest ATM switching company in Indonesia, providing ATM network services to 76 client banks. This agreement is a crucial leap for BC Card and the Korean payment industry, which has not had a significant breakthrough in exporting its world-class payment technology. BC Card has been providing end-to-end processing services for their member banks since its establishment in 1982. Based on 29 years of experience and know-how, BC plans to boost its global business in countries with less developed payment infrastructure. Chang Hyung Duk, CEO of BC Card said, “BC Card has already been a world class processor in the payment card industry and this partnership agreement with PT. Artajasa will become an excellent model which can be applied to other Southeast Asian countries. Two companies plan to launch services next year after they complete the business implementation. |
