BC Card was ranked No.1 as the best credit card service company in the 2010 National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) for three consecutive years.
NCSI, which has announced satisfaction rates for 13 years, is an index measuring and quantifying consumers’ satisfaction on products and services. Korea Productivity Center and University of Michigan collaborate every year to measure this index. The index results were foreseen as BC Card gained the spotlight from local media early this year when it announced to start global payment services through a network alliance with Discover Financial Service (DFS). This service enables Korean cardholders to use local proprietary cards to purchase goods and services abroad without paying service fees to global payment services providers, such as Visa and MasterCard. BC Card also extends its efforts to diversify domestic services by developing customized products for specific groups of cardholders. For example, it has launched ‘BC School Card’, a specialized debit card for students which can be used as an identification card as well. Every month, BC Card holds a customer panel conference to figure out customers’ needs directly and analyzes customers’ opinions to reflect them in developing new products and services. Meanwhile, BC Card has gained a customer friendly awareness by hosting the annual World Baduk (Go) Championship, open to both professional and amateur players, and supporting female golfers in the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA). According to BC Card, such reinforcement in customer service and improved brand awareness contributed to winning this award. “We will not be satisfied with the current status. We will continue making every effort to develop better services for our customers.” |
