BC Card (President and CEO, Joon Hee Suh, www.bccard.com) has introduced TapSign, a service enabling safe payment with a single touch of a card on a smart phone. This is the only mobile payment solution in Korea which uses an actual plastic card in the payment process. With TapSign, mobile shopping is a breeze; customers can pay for goods by accessing mISP mobile app, touching a plastic card (which must be pre-registered on the app) on the back of their smartphone and inserting the password. BC Card customers can use this simple payment service in all merchants that support mobile ISP (mISP). Customers can experience a much simpler payment process when their online/mobile transaction exceeds 300K KRW, as with TapSign, they do not have to go through the tedious certification/authentication process. TapSign has shown authentication services which began to replace other arduous identity authentication methods such as SMS or ARS since its debut last December. TapSign will also make its introduction to the rest of the world in Mobile World Congress (MWC), which will be held in Barcelona Spain from March 2nd. Holding company of BC Card, kt, will present the service as one of the co-developers. According to a known source in BC Card, BC Card hopes to secure safer and more convenient payment through TapSign. Furthermore, they plan to expand their endeavors by launching ‘PayAll’, a service which will allow customers to pay online without installing Active-X. * Smart Phone : Service provided to devices with NFC functions / Card : Cards without post-payment transit functionalities cannot be registered on the app |
