BC Card (President and CEO, Joon Hee Suh, www.bccard.com) declared it will work with Incheon Tourism Office to increase Chinese tourists visiting Incheon. Recently, Incheon Tourism Office (ITO) has been exerting efforts to invigorate local and tourism businesses by increasing the number of visiting foreigners. BC Card has worked with 9 different organizations in big data projects over the year, and will work with ITO to support ITO’s campaigns. BC Card will provide ITO with Big Data analysis on Chinese tourists’ consumption patterns, including preferred merchants, regions, etc. Based on the provided data, ITO will create new marketing and tour programs. As the first case, BC Card, Incheon Tourism Office, Incheon City, Korea Tourism Organization have created and provided a 6 nights 7 days tour program inviting more than 6,000 group tourists (employees of Aolan group in China) on the 27th of March. During the tour period, BC Card and Korea Tourism Organization will operate a booth to support UnionPay card holders and provide the following offers ▲ Hanwha Galleria Duty Free Coupons ▲ Unionpay Card Coupon book ▲ Souvenirs. Starting with this small project, BC Card is planning to fully cooperate with local governments who are interested in enlarging Chinese tourist influx to their region. BC Card is also planning to build a special zone for UnionPay cardholders ‘UnionPay zone’ so they can experience a faster and more convenient payment experience. On the day of the ceremony, Kang Hyouk Lee, EVP of BC Card stated, "We are happy that we can use our data and contribute to domestic tourism industry.
