BC Card provides consultation on the development of Laos payment industry
BC Card has signed an MOU with Korea University for its consulting project on the development of Laos payment industry in Korea University Sejong Campus on July 5th. Mr. Jang, Head of Global Business Division, BC Card on the left and Mr. Lee, Dean of College of Business and Economics, Korea University Sejong Campus on the right BC Card (President and CEO, Joon Hee Suh, www.bccard.com) has signed an MOU with Korea University on their new project “Consultation on the Development of Payment Industry in Laos.” “Consultation on the Development of Payment Industry in Laos” is a part of knowledge sharing programs run by Bank of Korea. BC Card and Korea University were selected to provide analysis on Laos’ payment market and share ideas on its modernization The MOU ceremony was held on July 5th in Korea University Sejong Campus and was attended by Mr. Gil Dong Jang, Head of Global Business Division, BC Card and Mr. Choong Yeol Lee, Dean of College of Business and Economics, Korea University Sejong Campus With this MOU, BC Card and Korea University will co-work to provide a blueprint for the development of the Laos payment network, based on their analysis of the current market status in Laos and comparative analysis with neighboring markets including that of South Korea. BC Card has been selected advisory - highly appraised for its accomplishments in global business, including that of breaking the ground as the first Korean company to export credit card technology to Indonesia in September 2015 and successfully building a joint venture with a local government-run bank. Mr. Jang, Head of BC Card’s Global Business Division, has stated, “This is another great opportunity for BC Card to export its payment technology and know-how to other parts of the world. BC Card will continue to participate in consultation projects and provide counsel to those countries in need.” |
