BC Card Sets Out to Invigorate the Daehangno Cultural District

  • Conclusion of a multilateral MOU by BC Card, Jongno-gu Office, Korea Arts Management Service, and Jongno Foundation for Arts & Culture at Jongno-gu Office at 3 p.m. on September 18th
  • Plans to improve the cultural facilities at Marronnier Park and hold cultural events to invigorate the Daehangno cultural district

BC Card (President and CEO Chae Jong-jin, www.bccard.com) made an announcement on September 19th that it has signed an MOU to invest into cultural facilities and to support the promotion of the local economy.

The MOU conclusion ceremony was held at Jongno-gu Office in Seoul at 3 p.m. on September 18th, in the presence of Kim Jin-cheol (Excutive Vice President), the Head of Sales Group of BC Card, Kim Yeong-jong, the Head of Jongno-gu Office, Kim Seon-yeong, the Head of the Korea Arts Management Service, and Lee Geon-wang, the Chairperson of the Jongno Foundation for Arts & Culture.

Based on the MOU, BC Card plans to ▲ initiate a project on improving the outdoor performance stage systems at Marronnier Park, ▲ provide cooperation in the cultural events held in Daehangno, and ▲ create an environment that allows visitors to Daehangno to experience a wide range of cultural performances and shows and obtain related information by providing support to arts organizations staging such events.

Kim Jin-cheol, the Head of Sales Group of BC Card, said, “Daehangno is an area that symbolizes culture and youth. The main objective of the MOU is to provide infrastructural support to reinforce the competiveness of Daehangno as a cultural district. […] We plan on expanding differentiated cultural spaces that are unique to BC Card to allow our customers to enjoy more abundant leisure activities.”

In addition to the Daehaengno Performance Promotion and Marketing Contest Program carried out since June, BC Card has been contributing to the invigoration of the Daehangno area by offering up to 80% discounts on show admission tickets and up to 50% discounts at restaurants and cafes in the area.
