BC Card signs MOU with Industrial Bank of China-Korea Tourism Organization to attract more tourists
BC Card (CEO and President Lee Mun-hwan, www.bccard.com) signed a MOU with China Industrial Bank (President, Tao Yiping), Korea Tourism Organization (CEO, Ahn Young Bae) in order to attract more Chinese tourists. The MOU signed in BC Card headquarters in Seocho-dong at 5 PM on the 22nd was participated by Lim Nam Hoon, the director of global business division, Pan Gang (潘钢), the director of China Industrial Bank’s Credit Card Center Development Office, Jeon Hyo Sik, director of Korea Tourism Organization’s International Tourism Office and relevant officials. Through this MOU, BC Card, China Industrial Bank and Korea Tourism Organization plan to jointly implement customized Korea tourism service ‘Heungdong Korea (兴动韩国)’ for cardholders of China Industrial Bank who are visiting Korea and to attract more Chinese tourists to Korea. China Industrial Bank, established in 1988 is one of the Top 10 commercial banks within China and has issued approximately 32 million credit cards and holds assets ranking 28th in the world¹. BC Card plans to offer customized affiliate member benefits and services by cooperating with local banks based on the domestic credit card usage pattern of Chinese tourists and big data related to preferred affiliate member benefits for the first time in the industry for ‘Heungdong Korea’ service. Customized affiliate member benefits and services to be provided to cardholders of China Industrial Bank by BC Card include ▲ [Medical] Discount on medical examination services in university hospitals ▲ [Beauty] Discount on plastic surgery and luxury beauty care ▲ [Shopping] VIP benefits at department stores and duty free stores ▲ [Tourism] WeChat reservation service in Michelin restaurants and others. Based on such, the Korea Tourism Organization will be promoting and marketing the ‘Heungdong Korea’ service and China Industrial Bank will provide Korea tourism services through ‘Heungdong Korea’ for local credit card holders. In the future, BC Card intends to reinforce customized affiliate member benefits and services further by continuously analyzing the domestic consumption and tourism pattern of China Industrial Bank customers together with China Industrial Bank and Korea Tourism Organization.
