BC Card Launched ‘Debit-type Government Purchase Check Card’ with NH Nonghyup Card
BC Card (CEO and President Lee Mun-hwan, www.bccard.com) launched ‘Debit-type government purchase check card’ with NH-Nonghyup Card (President Lee Inki, card.nonghyup.com) and they had a related ceremony. The ceremony was held at 11:00 am at the Seoul Regional Procurement Service in Seocho-gu on the occasion of the launch of the ‘Debit-type Government Purchase Check Card’, attended by key officials including Kim Yongjin, Deputy Ministry of Economy and Finance, Lee Inki, President of NH Nonghyup Card, and Lee Mun-whan, BC Card President. The government purchasing card is introduced to enhance the efficiency and transparency of national financial enforcement. It is used for government expenses such as promotion expenses and operating expenses. BC Card has been issuing government purchasing credit cards since 2003. Since the majority of government agencies are small and medium-sized merchants, the Ministry of Economy and Finance has issued a ‘Debit-type Government Purchase Check Card’ to reduce the burden of commission fees. In April, BC Card and NH Nonghyup Card participated as pilot companies. BC Card will cooperate closely with NH Nonghyup Card to launch the ‘Debit-type Government Purchase Check Card’ on March 13th and plan to make it available to all member companies of BC Card in the future. The launch of this product is expected to contribute to reducing the burden of commission fees for small merchants. Lee Mun-whan, CEO of BC Card, who attended the launching ceremony, said, “BC Card is actively participating in government-led public works projects such as launching the Public Happiness Cards and the Green Cards as well as government purchasing cards.”, also said, “We will continue to actively cooperate in public projects to contribute to the realization of the public interest and the development of the financial industry.” |
