BC Card starts to utilize merchants' information to empower the self-employed
BC Card (CEO Lee Moon-hwan) has provided support to self-employed businesses through 'Merchant Statistical Information Services'. 'Merchant Statistical Information Service' is a service that delivers data calculated on the basis of business and sales of Merchants held by BC Card to financial institutions and provides them to be used as supplementary data in the process of screening loans applied by self-employed people (see annexed material). By doing so, financial institutions have set the stage for more stable provision of risky lending tasks. In addition, there is a way for self-employed people who apply for loans to get rid of some of the disadvantages they may incur due to lack of credit information. With the opportunity to receive a reasonable level of financial services, it is expected to be a big boost for many self-employed people as well. Currently, the 'Merchant Statistical Information Service' is being used for Credit Union's screening of small self-employed loans and will expand the scope of the partnership to be used for loan screening by other financial institutions. "This service is a good example of working with financial institutions to help self-employed people benefit from the vast amount of Merchant information held by BC Card," said Lee Gang Hyuk, Senior Executive Vice President of Business Service Group of BC Card. "We plan to actively pursue partnerships with various companies to vitalize the data utilization industry in the future." BC Card, on the other hand, recently signed an MOU with NICE Information Service to provide more advanced and differentiated credit information-based services. <Annex. ‘Merchant Statistical Information Service’ Process> |
