BC Card launches 'CHAI card' in partnership with fintech and social commerce

[Photo] BC Card, along with CHAI Corporation and TMON, signed an MOU for the release of prepaid cards based on the simple payment service 'CHAI'. The customer may use the card at BC Card's 3 million on- and offline merchants within the amount charged with an account linked to 'CHAI'. BC Card (CEO Lee Moon-hwan) launches 'CHAI Card' with fintech firm CHAI Corporation (CEO Han Chang-joon, https://chai.finance) and social commerce company TMON (CEO Lee Jin-won, https://www.tmon.co.kr).

'CHAI Card' is a prepaid card based on CHAI, a simple payment service that was released by CHAI Corporation in June. Customers need to link one or more bank accounts only once in a 'CHAI' app. 'CHAI Card' can be paid by BC Card's 3 million online and offline merchants within the amount charged with an account linked to 'CHAI'.

Very soon, CHAI Corporation will issue a "CHAI card" and BC Card will act on behalf of payment processing for "CHAI card" such as sales slip acquisition. TMON also plans to actively support sales and marketing of 'CHAI Card'.

BC Card also plans to cooperate actively with Terra (CEO Shin Hyun-sung, https://terra.money), a global blockchain company that the 'CHAI' service is cooperating with, including joint study of blockchain technology and exploration of synergetic area between both companies.

"CHAI Card is a result of creating synergy with fintech and social commerce companies based on BC Card's digital payment technology and experience", BC Card CEO Lee Moon-hwan said. "We will work with more variety of companies to provide innovative payment life to customers in the future."
