[Photo] BC Card held a signing ceremony at its headquarters in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul on Oct. 4 to form a partnerships for digital payment platform with Vietnam's Lienvietpostbank(LPB).
Vietnamese citizens who visit South Korea in the future will be able to use all BC QR merchants with QR codes generated by the LPB's simple payment service "Viviet." BC Card(CEO Lee Moon-hwan) will provide digital payment services to Vietnamese citizens who will visit South Korea along with Lienvietpostbank(Chairman Nguyen Dinh Thang), which has the largest number of branches in Vietnam.

A signing ceremony was held at BC Card's headquarters in Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, on the October 4th, with major officials including BC Card CEO Lee Moon-hwan and LPB Chairman Nguyen Dinh Thang attending.

With the signing ceremony, BC Card plans to actively support its digital payment infrastructure and processing technology to LPB so that Vietnamese can use all BC QR merchants in South Korea such as GS25, Lotte Mart, Gongcha through 'Viviet', a simple payment service provided by the LPB. It also blocks the possibility of fraudulent use through the payment security technology of BC Card, "Token".

The payment method is also simple. All Vietnamese have to do is just generating BC QR code with LPB's 'Viviet' app. Thanks to this, they will be able to pay easily in South Korea without having to exchange money.

Also, international brand fees will not be incurred as both companies share their payment networks. The actual service is scheduled to begin approximately during the first half of next year.

BC Card CEO Lee Moon-hwan, who attended the signing ceremony said "through the cooperation with LPB, customers who visit both countries will experience a much convenient payment service", and added "BC Card will continue to make efforts to become the No.1 payment platform company in Asia in the future".

Meanwhile, BC Card had signed an MOU with NAPAS (National Payment Service Company of Vietnam) to share payment networks in 2017, and also signed an MOU with the LPB last November to cooperate in building digital payment infrastructure in Vietnam.
