BC Card Discovers Innovative Ideas Through In-house Research Groups

Photograph shows in-house research groups(CELLs) explaining their innovative ideas, selected for final presentation. BC Card (CEO Lee Moon-hwan) is strengthening its digital capabilities by discovering innovative ideas through in-house research groups. BC Card held the Employee's Idea Demonstration Day under the theme of "Innovative Financial Service" with officials including Lee Gang-hyuk, Head of Business Service Group(Senior Executive Vice President), Choi Jeong-yoon, Head of Digital Division(Senior Vice President), and Won Sang-heon, Head of Digital lab attending at its headquarters on November 8. At the event, the five innovative ideas, finally selected based on innovation, profitability and synergies with existing projects, were announced. BC Card plans to pursue the actual new business in the future based on those five innovative ideas. BC Card operates "R&D CELL", an in-house idea research group for executives and employees, to respond to the rapidly changing payment market and strengthen its own digital payment platforms. Each CELL, composed of five or so employees regardless of their departments, ranks or age, receives various support from the company to develop the expertise needed for actual commercialization as well as to discover innovative ideas. "'R&D CELL' is a system that not only discovers BC Card's future growth engine", "but also shows off our employees' capabilities to the fullest extent. BC Card will continuously and actively support innovative ideas from our executives and employees" said Lee Gang-hyuk, head of the Business Service Group. |
