BC Card has established its own RPA system
BC Card(CEO Lee Moon-hwan) creates a digital work environment through its own ‘Robot Process Automation(RPA)' system. BC Card has automated about more than 60 tasks such as settling costs for its customer institutions, processing accounting and producing various reports since it started establishing its own RPA system from 2017. As a result, they reduced the required working time by 94 percent under the assumption that one employee would handle whole 60 tasks(about 30,000 hours per year). It also eliminated various errors that could occur in the process of handling some tasks by hand, improving the accuracy of the work and securing the reliability of the results. BC Card established an RPA control center in headquarter as the scope of the work covered by the RPA system gradually expanded. In addition, professional operating personnel are trained and deployed directly for stable system operation. In the future, BC Card plans to expand its RPA system as a platform and apply it to more diverse tasks. It also plans to upgrade the RPA system to an Intelligent Process Automation(IPA) system by converging it with new technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain. "The successful deployment of our own RPA system is an example of BC Card’s differentiated digital competitiveness," said Lee Gang-hyuk a vice president of BC Card’s Business Infrastructure Division. "The new technology-based digital work environment will serve as a foundation for innovative ideas that will not only enhance employee satisfaction but also enhance customer satisfaction. |
