'paybooc QR Payment' is now available on Starbucks nationwide

  • BC Card has completed application to 1,300 Starbucks stores nationwide
  • When clerk scans the QR code generated by the paybooc app at the counter, the payment is complete

BC Card made an announcement on the 19th that it has applied a paybooc QR payment service to 1,300 Starbucks stores-excluding some stores located in such as airports, department stores and large shopping malls-nationwide to support customers' convenient payment lives. BC Card customers will be able to use Starbucks through more diverse payment methods.

The method of use is simple. First, select the card you want to pay for in the paybooc app and generate the QR code. The payment is then completed by scanning the QR code on the reader on the counter.

Meanwhile, BC Card released a credit card-based QR code payment service in October 18 that applied international payment standard (EMV) standard firstly in the industry. Smartphones can benefit from credit and check cards.
