BC Card (CEO Choi Won-seok) announced on the 3rd that it has released BC Intelligence Data for Enterprise Advance (IDEA), a big data analysis service tailored to companies based on data capabilities accumulated with domestic and foreign companies, public institutions, and universities. BC IDEA will support establishing business strategies such as marketing by dynamically analyzing current status of brands and competitive relationships through sales trends of companies. Based on 3.2 million franchisees owned by BC Card, 36 million customer data, and 500 million card payment data per month, it will categorize those data into ▲ customer ▲ channel ▲ commercial area elements and conduct in-depth analysis. First of all, customer analysis consists of market status, brand trend, and consumer behavior. Data that fits the needs of companies are provided by segmenting the total amount of use and transactions in the industry, sales status by brand, and customer preference(such as frequency of visits). It also advises the channels that companies need to access first. Based on sales data of online and offline sales channels such as online shopping malls and delivery apps, we analyze customer usage characteristics of each channel by time and day of the week and recommend channels that client companies should focus on. Lastly, it also provides multi-dimensional business district analysis data based on 1,200 commercial district information held by BC Card and card payment status data among 250 industries. It predicts stability and growth of each store through analysis of similar stores and floating population (income, household status, etc.) up to 3 km in the area. For example, franchise brand companies can receive suggestions such as diagnosis of their current status, such as sales trends, and customer comparison analysis with competitive brands, such as "MZ generation's consumption behavior in certain regions is changing rapidly, so target marketing should be carried out".
