BC Card Leads Green Consumption for Sustainable Future.
BC Card (CEO Choi Won-seok) announced on December 9 that it will participate in the Green Consumption-ESG Alliance, which supports the consumption of eco-friendly certified products. The Green Consumption-ESG Alliance¹ is an alliance formed by the Ministry of Environment with 23 companies and public institutions to actively promote eco-friendly consumption activities and practice ESG such as responding to climate change. The launching ceremony of the Green Consumption-ESG Alliance at the Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul at 10 a.m. on the 8th was attended by key officials, including Environment Minister Han Jung-ae, BC Card Customer Division Director Lee Jung-ho, and Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute headquarters Kim Jong-hwan. Through the launch of the alliance, each company encourages customers to use products certified with "Eco-friendly Product Label"², while cooperating organically with each other for a successful transition to the era of green consumption era. BC Card plans to encourage green consumption based on consumer benefits such as accumulating eco-money points and expand franchises that apply "Green POS"³ to help more customers access eco-friendly products. It also explains that it actively supports the transition to the era of green consumption by communicating with customers with various contents the necessity and expected effects of eco-friendly consumption activities.
